Vision
Fang Lu and Arie Kishon, 2020, Single Chanel video installation, video length: 5 minutes and 40 seconds, 16:9, sound

As a very special year, 2020 has separated many of us both physically and emotionally. The work Vision started as a musical piece, uses a simple and constant camera movement, looking over the tranquil landscape of the mountains beside the Hudson river. This simple motion is a metaphor for the turbulent nature of our current reality. Yet, as it is juxtaposed with the primordial, ever present scenery, this rocking motion might resemble the rocking of a cradle, offering a soothing embrace.
